Finding Photographs

How do I find my photos after the event?
We try to make finding photos easy for you. To find your picture you can either browse through the images from the day, which are usually arranged by time taken, or you can use our search system. Either from the homepage, the find photos page, or on the storefront, simply find your event and enter your bib number. The system will bring up all the photos of you tagged with your number.
What if there aren't any pictures when I search for my bib number?
If no photos show up when you search for your bib number, it doesn't mean there aren't any pictures of you. It simply means that we weren't able to distinguish your number in the photo and therefore weren't able to tag your image with a number. In this case, check the lost and found.
What's the lost and found section?
The lost and found section is where you will find images in which the numbers were not distinguishable, or partially obscured. In some races there may be a lot of images in the lost and found because of the nature of the race (crawling through mud and the numbers are on the athlete's front side) so don't forget to check it.
Why does my event say "coming soon" when I know the photos are up?
This happens sometimes when your browser caches our photo search page. Simply hit the refresh botton and your search form should pop up!
Why is someone else tagged with my number?
We sometimes use timing to tag the photos, so that means anyone who crosses a specific spot within a few seconds of one individual gets tagged with their number. We can tag multiple numbers in any one photo, so just because someone else is tagged with your number doesn't mean it won't show up when they search for their number as well, so there's no reason to alert us.
How long are my photos available for?
Your photos are always available for a minimum of 6 months and 1 week from the date they are posted. This gives you plenty of time to order and download images. Some albums are available for longer, but the expiration date of the event can always be seen on the event page in the upper right corner.
To order a print, find the image that you would like to order, and either click the cart button or click on the image itself. You will be brought to that specific image's page, in which you can select the products you'd like. Hit the "add to cart" button on the specific product, and your cart will update with your new products. You may have to register if you are not already logged in, as this allows you to save the contents of your cart. You can then continue browsing the photos.
How do I order photos of multiple images?
Once you have picked the size and quantity of your first image, simply make sure your cart has been updated with that image. You can then return to browsing and follow the same steps to pick your next image(s).
I don't see an option to purchase photos. What's going on?
In this case, it may be entirely possible that your race director has elected to have your fees waived. You can simply right click on the image and download the full-size to your computer to print as you wish.
Do I have to register to place an order?
Yes, registration is necessary before you order any products. We do this so that you can store all your information in one place, and this also allows you to add favorites, receive print credits, etc. All your information is stored on our secure and encrypted dedicated web-server.
Is it safe to use my credit card on the storefront?
Absolutely. We process all of our orders either through authorize.net, the most trusted name on the web for payment processing. All of your information is encrypted before it is sent, to keep it safe!
How long will it take to receive my prints?
Once your order is placed, it is usually printed within 1-3 business days. At that point, it gets shipped within 1 business day. Once it is shipped, it depends on the speed of delivery that you select at checkout. For fast delivery, make sure you select expedited shipping.
How long will it take to receive my digital images?
Similar to our print orders, digital files are usually e-mailed within 1-3 business days to the e-mail address you used during checkout. If it's been 3 business days and you haven't received any e-mail, make sure you check your spam folder.
Absolutely. If you are not 100% satisfied with the quality of the image that you receive, simply return it for a full refund, no questions asked. We want you to be as happy with our photography as we are!
Will the print have a logo on it?
While it us ultimately up the race director, most of the time the print will have the race's logo on it. We will never print a Nuvision logo on your photos, but we usually put the race's logo on the prints to help advertise the race.
What do I get when I purchase a digital image?
When you purchase a digital image, you are either getting a digital file suitable for web, a 1 megapixel file, or a full-resolution file (usually about 6 megapixels). 1 megapixel and larger digital images are processed, edited, then sent via e-mail after purchase. The same time frame as print orders applies, as we process images in the order they come through. Web-sized downloads are instantly available for download after payment!
How do I purchase the "all digital files of this athlete" product?
Simply select one of your images, and hit the "all digital files of this athlete" button to purchase all of your digital images. When you go to checkout, make note of the other images' file numbers that you would like included in your order.
Why are digital files more expensive?
This is a question we are very frequently asked. The reason being is that digital files allow for unlimited printing, so we have to assume our customers will print the images multiple times. We base our price upon that assumption.
Are the images edited before they are printed?
We make our best effort to get the images correct right out of the camera, but often they need just a bit of tweaking to optimize the color and sharpness. We pay direct attention to every individual print and make sure it looks its best before sending it to print, something many of our competitors don't do.
What is the resolution of the images you shoot?
We shoot at a minimum of 6 megapixels. This is sufficient to print up to 11"x14" without involving a process called interpolation, which effectively reduces the quality of the print.
